A truly competition course home to the Ryder cup. Famous for its challenging terrain and natural beauty.
Valderrama has two prevailing winds: the poniente from the land, which in summer can be very hot and the levante from the Mediterranean, which brings a cooler sea breeze. The changed conditions, depending on which one is blowing, add variety to a golf course that is already rich in shot values.
Valderrama Golf Club recognized for environmental excellence, Valderrama Golf Club has retained its designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System (ACSS), the educational division of Audubon International, endorsed by the United States Golf Association.
Valderrama Golf Club is the only course in Spain and one of 401 courses in the world to receive this honour.
Valderrama Golf Club joined the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses in 1991, which provides information and guidance to golf courses to help them preserve and enhance wildlife habitat and protect natural resources.
